Wow! Has it been forever or what?
Christmas started for me on Dec 19th when my parents and I left for North Carolina, picking up James on the way. We decided on the way to my cousin's house to take the road through the Smokey Mountains. As a result I got some very nice pictures. I'm hoping to get them loaded when I get back to my dorm room (left my camera cable there). I also got some pictures with me and James together at a waterfall....
It was incredibly pretty going through the mountains. Once you got far enough up in them, there was snow everywhere.. along with a lot of Floridians and Georgians trying to sled. Eep. I was a bit concerned since they're not that used to the kind of snow it was and the hills they were trying to sled down were incredibly steep and often near the road. Unsafe to a T. Others were building snowmen and having snowball fights it was fun to see :P I managed to slip down some steps by an overlook area. I luckily only broke two nails and sliced my finger some. It's "already" a lot better... but it's also been like two or three weeks since now :P
We spent most of the time with my cousin Twiligha until we left on the 23rd for Christmas. Had three really good and nice dinners that she cooked for us. They were yummy... and quite filling (James can attest to that!). It was nice. I enjoyed being there and having James with me a lot. One of the days we went shopping and managed to find a present for my sister, for his mom and two for Vicki. For my sister we bought a picture of horses running in a pack. His mom got an eagle's head statuette and blackberry jam while Vicki got some butterfly window ornaments. I'll have to see if I can show you what the window ornaments look like. They were very pretty though.... I couldn't resist buying them, even though I had already finished up her Christmas gifts a long time ago.
We got to deliver the two butterfly window ornaments to Vicki on the way to my grandma's. After that my parents shoved James and I out of the car and I spent until the 2nd at his house.
Christmas eve was spent cleaning up the house. Christmas we got up very early and went to mass before going to my grandma's. We ate and got presents before we left around 1. Thankfully before the Crown Royal got pulled out. Ugh I hate when (certain) family drinks on holidays. They get rude, crude and loud. It's just totally inappropriate. But anyways, James and I finished cleaning the house on Christmas. We made spaghetti and watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith before we eventually headed to bed.
On the 26th was his family's Christmas at his house. His mom arrived around 10:30 to bring in food and drink. All the others began to arrive at 11, 12 and so on. We ate lunch at Grandy's and headed back to the house for opening of Christmas presents. His mom got me a cute angel musical water fountain. It's fun to mess with ;) plus it's very pretty.
After opening the presents got done, we played Clue and then a very very very long game of Phase 10. My butt hurt after that. By then it was 9:30-10 and most people had come and gone. We saw the last person out at 10:30. I was glad too because I was beginning to get tired.
On the 27th we didn't really do anything but play City of Heroes and I believe Eric came over. James went to work on the 28th and I played CoH all day. On the 29th Eric was over and the two of us played CoH all day. On the 30th James and I played CoH together for most all of the day. On the 31st Eric, James and I all played CoH together and did a taskforce before we headed over to Craig's for his New Year's party at 8. We basically ate some and I played Euchre (spelling?) and he mostly played Mortal Kombat. I enjoyed myself mostly but I was again, dead tired and we had another thing the next day. So we left Craig's around 1-1:30 and got to bed at probably 2 am.
The next day, the 1st was James' extended family's Christmas on his mom's side. We got up around 11:30 and arrived there at probably 12:30. We ate food and stayed for a short while before we needed to go to start on his laundry. We were at his mom's house doing his laundry until around 6 and it still wasn't all done ;) His mom's dryer hates drying jeans apparently.... But we got a hamper plus of clothes done before we left to Rockport.
Once we got to Rockport we got stuff together to go to my house and then we left for Indianapolis. Got there around 11:30 which included a stop to eat at Dairy Queen and several attempts to find cheaper gas (2,36 was highest and we eventually got it for 2.19). We got our stockings to open once we got to my house before we just lazed about and watched tv :P
Yesterday, the 2nd.. We ate at Joe's... did shopping at a Pacer's gift shop for one of my cousin's (cos my dad forgot to for Christmas)... and then shopped at Old Navy. The one downtown was closing so I went through their discounted stuff which was further discounted 30% and found a lot of new pairs of pants, two shirts and a skirt. The most expensive out of all of them were two things for 14 dollars. Not bad at all for most of that stuff being regularly like 32.50 or 27.50 or so. Hoping to see if we can go to the other one near us that is closing. I mostly just want to see what all stuff they may have left yet in my size that is clearanced. It's not everyday stores go out of business !
After the Old Navy trip we went shopping at Target and retired home. We watched the Brother's Grimm and then watched random TV shows.... And that's really all she wrote :P
I really enjoyed myself these past weeks, but I'm incredibly tired! Oi!
Love you all :hugs:
