(no subject)
its hot! so frigging hot! and i cant describe how dirty i am. we rehearse and are rolling all over the floor and its dusty so i have the blackest knees. but hey ho!
we performed on an afican tv show called sound splash the other night. it was so much fun but i couldnt belive how relaxed the tv studios were. it was for a station called tv africa and it was a lovely air conditioned building but there were mobile phones going off left right and centre, and the editing!! oh my word. it was a live show and they had several different cameras set up shooting different angles which they cut between, but jeeze! they had a bad case of zoomitis and used all those cheesy 80's wipes. but ive performed on live tv so there is soemthing i have never done before.
after the performance we went to this really cool bar. it was on a sort of built up concrete balcony area on the edge of a cliff over looking the waves breaking on the shore. so nice. we danced a bit and had a few drinks so it was good to just do very little. then its back to a perforance tonight at the goa institute and again on wednesday at the british council. after that i believe we are going to the national park!! woot! i can not wait to go there.
things are very simple here, we dont have showers and the most amazing thing in the world is air con and yet im not missing anything from home. i havent felt the need to watch tv or even come on the net im here more for something to do in the short time bhetween rehearsals. so home comforts im living without. i can wait for collectormania though. for some reason i am really looking forward to that. maybe because i know i have to come back from here and work, collectormania is the next fun thing.
