Glad you enjoyed it.

About the dream being a little "grown-up"... I did consider that when I wrote it. The voice very much changes in this chapter and I excuse it with the concept that this is, in some way, JARETH narrating Alice's story. Does that make sense?

Hm. Yes, that does make sense. It certainly explains the presence of the Sorceress ... And I think Jareth makes a splendid dragon.

One thing that has been nibbling at my mind recently is as follows: Sarah became a "citizen of the Labyrinth" in order to help Alice - but here it is, Peach Dream time already, and she still hasn't even found her step-niece, let alone helped her. Will she even speak to Alice before (one presumes) the little girl's final confrontation with the King?

I can't imagine Sarah being happy to have signed away her freedom without being able to help Alice after all. (esp. if wee Alice manages the Labyrinth better than she did ...)

Finally ... how are you going to deal with Sarah leaving the human world? (if you don't go with the "Sarah seduces Jareth & goes home" route.)

Yes, that would be terribly evil of me, wouldn't it? Jareth never promised Sarah that she would get to help Alice, or even see her at all. He just took her up on her impulsive offer.

Finally ... how are you going to deal with Sarah leaving the human world?

Wait and see! I am going to deal with it though. I've seen a lot of stories where she just vanishes to go play princess in the Underground and I always thought it was ironic given how hard she fought for Toby in the first place.

True, dat. So very true. I veered as far as one can in the opposite direction, what with having her die, and her entire family be heartbroken. But, gd, this is *not* about me - eesh, I always manage to hijack your lj. My bad.

I'll wait to see. Just picture me over here in a corner, looking imploring. But not whining. Because I promised not to.

I so much liked that you weren't afraid to pull any punches with killing Sarah off.

Actually, the "how will Sarah leave the real world?" question is one of those that you shouldn't have to wait TOO long for, seeing as how close Alice is to the centre now. Other things like "who the hell is Jareth anyway?" and "are they ever going to DO IT??" will have to wait a little longer.

Edited cos I can't type.
