I'm very slowly getting back into LJ, so slowly in fact, that I'm writing this in the Richt text editor...wtf???
Anyhow this is still not the post about my RL update (that will follow) and not my vacation post either, sorry. I still have to edit the pics and decide which ones I want to upload. Maybe next week.
Right now I thought I'd tell you what else I've been up to.
Reading
For weeks now I've been reading lots and lots again and feeling great doing so. I just realised that spending my evenings in front of the computer wasn't doing me any good and that I felt much better reading or writing instead. So that's what I did. Now my booklist:
Sherlock Holmes - Complete Novels and Stories
Okay that one I just started, but it's on my table right now while I'm tying this, so kinda the first thing that came to mind. I'm always a bit anxious about starting a classic like this, but I think I'll enjoy myself.
True Blood - Book 1-4
Can't recall all the titles, but the books were really good, better than the show in many ways. That's why I'm on to book five now :)
Wales - a very peculiar history
Well when I saw this book in a small store in Tenby I just had to get it. Especially since Ive already read the peculiar history of Scotland and really enjoyed it. I love these little books that give you an insight into the history and culture of the country but in a very entertaining way :)
Stone of Destiny
Remember the movie I talked about a while ago? Well this is the book and true story it's based on.
If you have no idea, this is what it's all about:
MOVIE TRAILER Generation Kill
Don't have to say anything more about this, do I? ;)
And the other thing I've been doing...
Writing
Don't want to bore you guys too much with this, that's what my writing journal is for after all, but let's just say that it's going really well. Right now I'm writing about 5,000 words per week, more or less a chapter. And I love my characters and the way they are developing ♥
Right now it's almost like being in a fandom and not knowing how the plot is going to develope. It's great! And so much fun. Plus it keeps me from going off a cliff some days.
Some other news: I've finally sent out 'Ashaver' to some publishers and have gotten turned down twice. I know that's nothing and I'm prepared for a lot more, but am still hoping the impossible.
Keep your fingers crossed for me, will you?
Will be back with RL stuff and more soon. I'm also skimming my flist, will comment soon.
Love you all! ♥
But I won't leave you emptyhanded.
Here's a live version of 'Field Trip Buddy' from the wonderful Matt Alber. It's such a sweet song talking about young boy/boy love ♥♥♥
