Winter Solstice Celebrations
What kind of celebrations do you and yours have for the winter solstice? What do you feel are age appropriate activities for toddlers and preschoolers to learn about the solstice? How do you deal with the Christmas and Santa overload at this time of year? Do you have problems with schools or child-care centers pushing Christmas on your child?
My son loves the snow that marks winter where we live, but he doesn't really understand why we celebrate the solstice. Since he is only four, I am not all that concerned about the lack of understanding.
