oh, am i glad i followed *this* link. you have no idea how much i needed a good Ducky fic right now. it's very well written -- you certainly have a knack for nailing that Mallard tone, and there's a definite dearth of non-insane love interests for our long-suffering ME.

Thanks for the review. This is the first time I'd ever done Ducky as a central character in a fic (I usually focus on Gibbs/Abby) and I'm pleased I got the tone right. And Ducky does need some love.

I have a couple Ducky fics coming up soon- an angsty one is at the beta's right now and I have a novella (Ducky/Abby) almost done.

and angst and ducky/abby? maybe not my bag -- i prefer the fluff and love of this story because it makes me siigggghhhh with fangirl happiness for love of the Duckman -- but if you write it near as well as this piece? oh, i'm so in.

And this story is perfect. Ducky *does* need a love interest that isn't a murderer or otherwise psycho. And I thought you explained Gibbs and Ducky's "feud" much better and then brought it to a satisfying conclusion. Well done.
