So, The Scare-a-thon is scheduled for this Saturday and everyone should come (keren, lizzy, sarah, katie- that means you as well) and we will be starting movies around 8 or 9 o clock. We are planning on 4 to 5 movies depending on how many people can sit through. Max and I are both poor, and so if people would be so gracious as to bring snacks/drinks/booze we will try to get something ourselves together. We could have a potluck if everyone pitched in, and it'd be a whole lot more fun.
As for movies, we've narrowed it down to our top two (it was three an hour ago but we both forgot the third) and ones we definitely want to watch:
The Skeleton Key
Dominion
in addition to that, we were thinking of a hitchcock movie (possibly the birds or rear window) dead zone, or maybe werner herzog's 1979 remake of nosferatu. Any suggestions for movies more about halloween would be awesome.
In addition to all this, as most of you know, our living room is pretty sparse, so everyone should bring pillows and blankets and sleeping bags because there's gonna be a lot of sitting on the floor. if everyone crowds in we can have a big old cuddle fest. Those are great for scary movies.
Finally: I can't really go out much on Halloween. I have a midterm at 8 am the next day. If anyone knows a berkeley party I could swing by for cool, but, if Berkeley folk are interested, I was thinking of a special viewing of a really gorey slasher flick or something on halloween, something maybe other people wouldn't be interested in, if people are interested let me know and we can do some special thing on halloween here.
