MY MOUTH BURNS WITH THE INTENSITY OF TWO GALAXIES COLLIDING!!!

Jan 15, 2005 21:51

Last week my physics professor told us about this gigantic astronomy event that happened recently:  the largest, most intense burst of x/gamma radiation in the history of astronomy was detected and no one knew what it was.  Theories included a neutron star ripping itself apart entirely, to what my professor was working on, the possibility of a supermassive black hole consuming waay too much matter waay to fast.  Well, according to some science lady it was actually two galaxies colliding.  So this is the most intense, powerful event ever to have occured in recorded human knowledge.

That being said, it's probably only slightly more powerful than the burning in my mouth and nose.  Why do you ask?  Because I put waaay to many habenero peppers into my dinner (3 to many to be exact).  Inhaling the smoke from the wok made my nostrils burn.  You'd think I would learn, and you're right I did.  But I really didn't want to waste all this otherwise perfect food and have to cook something else.  My mouth burned for an hour after two bites.  After the first I considered putting it away and telling chris I saved him dinner, but after the second bite I decided that would just be cruel, and not funny.  However, I am still keeping it, and hoping chris will try it, pending full disclosure.

To elaborate on my last post:  alex got skunked outside this time, and cleaned yesterday.  However, our house again smells, increasing the likelihood that our current domecile will from here on out be known as 'The Skunk House' and not The Dhoom House' as we have been trying to get picked up by frequent visitors and guests.

As for Ace of Spades and Frinkbot in Time DVDs, here's the deal- you either have to send me a letter with an address so I can mail you a dvd, or come visit.  I have 45 discs just waiting for burnification.  If you want to be a kind soul you could include a dollar bill or a blank dvd as well to keep the supply of blank dvds from dwindling.  My address is in the lj-cut down below.  As for posters, I am broke again, and cannot front for an order.  I spent too much on new years and books ($300 for an engineering class where we don't even cover as much as we covered in first quarter intro physics!!!!) and getting the dog cleaned again etc etc...
