What a weekend to be alive!

So thanksgiving was good.  I still hurt from football.  I'd feel really bad about that except Aaron and Max are also really sore.  We are old men.  I for one am happy to see the time come where I would hurt after football, it makes me feel old and mature while still having enough close friends to play football with after thanksgiving,  and that is something I'm thankful for.  I just assumed it'd be 10-15 years from now.  Oh well!

Today the cat managed to light himself on fire.  He sat on a lit candle.  He didn't even notice.  Just kinda sat there I guess while his fur coiled up and burned off.  Chris put him out before it actually reached his skin, so he had a big patch or burnt hair on his drumstick.  Someone (not me) gave him a quick barbering so he wouldn't be bothered.  The whole incident served as a good incentive to actually shave the cat, which we have been mulling over since we got him.  Now it's taken a more serious tone, however, and I think we've decided on leaving only his boots, a mane, a racing stripe, and the tail (with the possibility of a chest hair triangle).  What a dumb cat.

Aaron, Alex and I saw the Machinist saturday.  I reccomend it without reservation.  It's dark, at times confusing, some parts rather jarring (the first 5 minutes are more or less devoted to Bale's anorexic figure) and other parts are downright intense.  The movie had the feel of one of those suprise ending thrillers.  But thankfully the plot did not end up in the same bin as those movies, rather it took on a more realistic and empathetic ending.  The direction is a big throwback to hitchcock in many of the better ways and so is the plot.  Again- go see this movie- it's worth the 5.50 the crest charges students.

Finally-  I apparently have to write college application essays for berkeley again.  They're due tomorrow and I don't feel like I should do them- consequently they're not going to be very normal- I might post one of them because I am self-absorbed and enjoy sharing my crappy crap.
