- Am very amused, 'cause me and the bf were having a lazy Sunday watching the telly box and an Agatha Christie "Miss Marple" TV movie came on, a recent one with the new Miss Marple, and none other than Tom Baker plus his magnificent voice was in it. He was v. good for the part he was in, which wasn't much 'cause he was one of the murder victims.

Well, it was cunning murder, in that the murderer purposely made him walk up heaps of stairs to his penthouse 'cause he knew he had a ticky heart and thus he had a heart attack. Was v. disappointed, I wanted to see more of him. I love Tom's voice. It's so majestic and grand. Plus any time I was referring to his character or what not I called him the Doctor. Har.

- This Martha video is really quite good. And I don't watch fan vids at all so maybe there are better ones, but the song on this one was cool and it had Heroic!Martha and Kick-ass!Martha moments.

- Leads me to ponder - Martha really WAS kick-ass wasn't she? Her detractors go on about how whiny she was, pining over the Doctor, but whatever about that, point is she actively did things to save herself, the Doctor or others in almost every single solitary episode of series 3.  Martha Jones, whether ya like her or not, is the exact and direct opposite of the word 'useless'.

And since when is being in love with someone a flaw anyway? To some people, Rose's Doctor love wasn't a flaw, it was THE defining aspect of her character even though it made her abandon her own family for him in Doomsday. Not ONCE did Martha's love for the Doctor make her weaker, prevent her from being brave, stop her saving people, or hurt anyone. In fact, Martha's love for the Doctor gave her character more drive, especially in episodes 8/9 and 12/13. So Martha haters - what was that whingey, love-struck loser argument again?

- Plus why is it that so many have thrown their lot in with Donna because they think she's going to be some head-butting, face-slapping, massively headstrong and kick-ass character? Er... this is Donna we're talking about. Don't get me wrong, I think Cath Tate is a freaking legend, and that her comedic talents are huge, and obviously Donna won't be as shouty and annoying as in the Runaway Bride, but the Doctor said himself in that ep, she's not clever, she's not special, she has no unique qualities. What exactly is it that people suddenly think she will bring to DW that Martha didn't? If Martha, the one who saved lives and used her courage / intelligence in virtually every episode wasn't a 'good enough' companion, then how will Donna be?

- Have gotten Robin Hood 2x02. Will watch later and post an 'as it happens' review. I hear the title for this ep is especially ridiculous.

- Does having abnormal feet piss anyone else off? I have little feet, and I've been a size 4 for ages. They've grown ever so slightly though, so now the size 4 is only just too small, and my feet are pinched. But my feet are still too small to go up to size 5, and of course, there's no such thing as half sizes here, not that I've seen anyway. So most of my shoes are now too small or too big.

martha jones is better than you, robin hood, meta, doctor who
