Bullhead City

13 March: We left Avi Casino this afternoon, heading into the wilds of Bullhead City. There are two strip cities either side of the Colorado River, and in one of them you can gamble, the other, you can’t.
Crossing into Arizona

The parts I saw were strip mall after strip mall, variants on the same box stores. There may be more charming areas away from Highway 95.

Our primary mission was to find Walmart, which we did, and I shopped there until I dropped. We’d pretty much run out of food.

I can’t remember why we decided not to stay at the Walmart. Perhaps it was the shiny casinos across the river, beckoning.
There are a couple of historical markers in town

The brown sign suggests there is a historical marker ahead, but we didn’t see where it was.
The camera did, though.

We’ll go back to Avi Casino again sometime, I think, and will then be able to visit the snarfs in Bullhead City. But this time we just weren’t in the mood, so we moved on to Laughlin.
