Repeat after me, I hate public holidays...
I mean, really. At rallies around the country, Union officials and government ministers link arms and don smug smiles to declare, "Business must create jobs." How exactly, when the country has been entirely shut down since last week Thursday because of public holidays commemorating vague and not-quite-there events?
I think South Africa is on record as having the most public holidays of any country on earth (barring North Korea where every day is a public holiday spent commemorating the genius of their god-king). I think we have more than 30 at last count.
