Ok, you should have been EXPECTING a post like this from me, after making a post like THAT.
This is EXACTLY why I keep telling you that you need to TRY these things BEFORE you make a judgement on them. As opposed to listening to other's opinions on them.
Is like WoW: I can complain about WoW because I *have* played it, and played it for AWHILE. Im not just going offa stuff I've heard, or some crap like that.
This is the type of thing I was trying to explain to you regarding something like EQ2; I remember your reasons for not liking that one, despite not knowing anything about it, but they were things you'd heard about it, and being very familiar with that one as I am, nearly all of them are wrong.
If you were to PLAY it (and I dont mean just the crappy newbie Isle, cause that part ISNT done very well), you might actually see it differently than that, but you'd have to try it for yourself.
Of course, this isnt about EQ2, it's about this sorta thing in general.
Hell, perfect example:
Battle Stadium DON.
You probably know how much I like the Smash Bros. series. I used to play Melee to death until the Gamecube's position in the market died.
Upon seeing DON the first few times, I wasnt all that impressed, at all. Didnt seem very interesting to me.
At Katsu, though, I went and bought it on a whim, cause I figured "Eh, may as well, there isnt much else to spend this money on".
And this is just like DBZ Tenkaichi all over again: Im real glad I DID buy it.
IMHO, this is BETTER than Smash Melee. This is like Smash with combos and supers, and more interesting and creative specials. And I wouldnt even have to know anything about the characters to like this game; I dont read/watch One Piece, but even those characters can be alot of fun to use.
And unlike Smash, NO STUPID EXPLOITS.
Yet if I had just gone offa what I THOUGHT I knew about that game, I'd have NOT bought it, and been denied the fun of it. Because my initial ideas were dead wrong.
And on a side note, I actually liked that first episode of Haruhi. I cant remember why exactly, but I was cracking up so hard at that one.... (I need to go back and actually FINISH the rest of that series, but Noein definitely comes first).
I also like Yuki alot, from that.
Well, ok, that's enough rambling from me.... Peewee is down here making an ass of himself again, so I need to go deal with that....
I'll be on tonight, try to be there. I'll probably be playing SupCom to death again.....
