Upsets and Cancellations
So Florida State's basketball team beat Duke last night in a major upset.
AND I forgot to watch the damn game! ARGH! You can tell I'm new at being a basketball fan. :-/ Although I'm starting to notice a disturbing pattern here... I go to the Miami-FSU game and we lose in overtime. I watch the first FSU-Duke game and we lose by a point on a BS call... Now I miss this one and we win!? I've gotta break this pattern somehow!
In other news, I'm going to be cancelling (or at least putting on hold) my Netflix account after next week. Jenna Fischer's Lollilove comes out on Tuesday, and I want to get that before I stop getting Netflix movies. Here's the thing - I've got about 70 hours of movies and shows saved onto my 100-hour DISH Network DVR. Some of these things are over two years old; I just can't seem to find the time to watch them!
So while Netflix is on hold, I'm going to work my way through the DVR. Then I'm going to call up DISH and cancel that account. It turns out I can get a much better deal from DirecTV that includes a dual-tuner receiver and a $40/month price reduction. I'll take it!
