Jay wore a pirate’s eye patch in his official senior yearbook picture - that’s just the kind of guy he was! Definitely one of those “free spirit” types who just seem to live their lives to a different beat than everyone else. He was also really good at guitar - he played in the 3rd-hour jazz band I was in during our sophomore and junior years.
