Seems like it's been forever since I wrote a real update on my journal... So here we go! :-)
Tough loss for the Seminoles last weekend, man... FSU was driving for the winning score against Georgia Tech and then our fullback fumbled on the 1-yard line. Ballgame - Tech won, 31-28. VERY tough to swallow. I'm hoping that Florida State wins out in the ACC and that Wake Forest loses one more game. And then I'd like to see a rematch in the ACC Championship Game - FSU vs. Georgia Tech. I want REVENGE! Here are the highlights (or lowlights, I guess?):
IT'S ELECTION DAY! Have you voted yet? I'm planning to go in about a half hour or so. I've never had to wait at my polling place, but there's a first time for everything. I guess we'll see! The State gives us all an hour of administrative leave to use to vote, so if I do have to wait it shouldn't matter too much. I'm a registered Democrat, but I'll be crossing party lines a little bit on my ballot. Not for president, though - I'm for Barack Obama all the way! I'm also looking forward to voting "No" on Amendment #2 (the "Protection of Marriage" thing). I'm so sick of that debate... If people really care about "protecting" marriage, why don't they focus on preventing divorce?
My Thanksgiving plans have kind of blown up. John's got family coming in the weekend before, so the Boston trip has been scrapped. John's coming to Tallahassee for the Boston College game on November 14th though, so at least that will be cool! I talked briefly with Demetrios about maybe coming up to New York, and he suggested that we go somewhere else - maybe to California? That would be awesome, of course, but the question is, how much would it cost? I have a big car bill looming, as well as a vet bill. Not sure how much of a hit I can take at this point. I may just have to suck it up and hold off. We'll see!
I'm struggling a bit with my Project 365 thing... I used up my buffer and have missed the deadline for a few entries - any time you see an entry timestamped 11:59PM, it's one that I manually had to change the date on. I figured this would happen, and I just have to work through it. I still enjoy writing the entries and have no plans to abandon the project... Like a lot of things in my life, I just need to be more disciplined about it!
