The other day I decided to use the Linden dollars that Dan (
mirrorglassball) let me have and go on a bit of a Second Life shopping spree. First I bought a Metallica "ninja star" t-shirt (I think I actually owned one of those back in high school, haha :-P). Then I found a cool looking spiked cloak and decided to give that a try... Whoever programmed it did a pretty good job; it actually moves around like a real cloak! Finally, I wandered into a pirate store that was giving away free eye patches. The end result?
Apparently, I am now some kind of super-villain. :-P But that's cool! I still had a little bit left over, and decided to buy myself a hat. I found a place that was advertising a "sculpted fedora" - that'd work! So I bought it. And what happened when I tried to wear it?
WTF? Apparently, what I bought was the cube advertising the hat... What's the point in that!? Shenanigans! Oh well. :-P
I find Second Life to be interesting, but after a bit it gets pretty boring. People have built some amazing stuff on there... I wouldn't mind giving that aspect of it a try, but I just don't think I can bring myself to become a paid member. It's not a "game" really... The whole point of it seems to be to communicate with others. And I think I do that just fine in my first life. :-P
