Son of a...!
!@#$ing NewEgg! They were running a promotion earlier today where if you made a purchase with Paypal, they would give you 20% cash back. There was a great deal on a motherboard that's normally $180 - with the 20% off, a $30 mail-in rebate, and a $5 off coupon, it would have cost just $110. I went to the NewEgg site earlier and saw that the Paypal promotion was running until the 28th, so I decided to think about it.
Well I made my decision - I wanted that motherboard! I went to the site five minutes ago, and what did I see? "Offer Ended - expires 11/26/2007. I missed it, apparently, by fifteen minutes. DAMN IT!
Why the hell did they move the date up like that!? Excuse me for wanting to do a little research before I dropped the cash for a major computer component. >=( Freakin' BS.
Update: People are just as pissed as I am on the SlickDeals and NewEgg forums. Somebody uploaded the old image they had up on the site:
