Is it weird that I personify inanimate objects? Last weekend I went to Bed, Bath, & Beyond and bought a new baking pan for my toaster oven. My old one was just on its last legs and almost completely rusted out. I decided to bake up an egg roll with dinner last night.
"Well, old friend," I said to my pan, "Do you have one more in you? We've seen a lot together, you and I..." The egg roll was delicious, and the pan is currently residing near the bottom of my kitchen's trash can. Really, I don't know what's more strange - me talking to a piece of rusted-out metal or me cooking on a piece of rusted-out metal!
In other news... It's
Free Pizza Day! So everyone go to your local Pizza Hut between 3PM and 5PM and get yourself a slice!
I watched two shows last night - Heroes and The Sopranos. They couldn't have been more different. Heroes was completely awesome! It's fast becoming my favorite drama on television, and has already replaced 24 on my DVR (Sorry Jack - but no worries, I still see the 24 episodes). I can't wait to see what happens next; it's so exciting! The Sopranos, on the other hand...
Man, how far has that show fallen!? The episode revolved around Tony's sudden gambling problem and Vito Jr. dropping a deuce in the shower at school. Um... WHAT!? The novelty of a televised deuce notwithstanding, I was bored almost immediately. IT'S THE LAST SEASON! I thought stuff was supposed to, I don't know, HAPPEN!? Now we've had four straight episodes of people just dicking around. It boggles my mind sometimes.
