A cool article I found on Lost...North Jersey Simply Not 'Lost'

If the creators of "Lost" got the same kind of revelatory flashbacks their characters do, Damon Lindelof's life would "whoosh" back to his formative years in Teaneck.

But don't go crazy searching for home state homages within his allusion-rich ABC series.

"I don't think we've ever mentioned Jersey," says Lindelof, whose mom lives in Hackensack. "The thing is, a lot of the places that we mention on the show are not arbitrary shout-outs to cool places that we like. [For instance], Tallahassee keeps coming up in the show, but it's not because anybody [connected to the show] is from Tallahassee. It's because Tallahassee is one of the nexus points in the real world where all these characters have crossed paths before. If I gave a shout-out to Hackensack, I don't know what the [justification] would be."

Everything is painstakingly plotted and planned on "Lost," which returns for the rest of its third season -- 16 straight weeks of all-new episodes -- at 10 p.m. Wednesday, its new time slot...

How cool is that? I live in a Lost "Nexus Point"! I did find the Tallahassee references humorous. For those that don't remember...1) Kate was buying a ticket to Tallahassee when apprehended by the Marshal, who described the town as "nothing but strip malls and Waffle Houses." He's pretty much right.

2) Sawyer implied to Jack that he contracted an STD in Tallahassee ("Something was burnin' and it wasn't the sun"). It could happen!
10PM Wednesday. BE THERE!
