I've started to put together a trip for myself to take in March (this is always exciting heh heh). I was hoping to take a trip up to New York City around St. Patrick's Day (March 17th), and I found out that my buddy Tom is graduating from
the Art Institute of Colorado in Denver on March 23rd. I haven't seen him in a few years and would like to be there for that. Instead of round-trip tickets, I'm going to most likely be doing three one-way flights. Tentative schedule:
March 16th: Orlando to JFK (NYC)
March 22nd: JFK to Denver
March 26th: Denver to Orlando
Each flight will cost a little over a hundred dollars except for JFK to Denver, which will cost $140... Not bad! My last round-trip ticket to New York cost about $280 if I remember correctly.
While I'm in the city, I'd like to finally go see some television show tapings. Apparently the tickets to Late Night Conan O'Brien aren't available for those dates yet, which sucks because that's my #1 choice! But I was able to score Daily Show tickets for March 20th and put in a request for The Colbert Report. This will be my third trip to NYC in the past 18 months, but you know - it never gets old! There is always something to do. Of course none of these trips would have been possible without
metri8 offering me a place to stay there in the East Village. I owe him!
I haven't been to Denver since 2004. And even then, I only got to hang out with Tom for about a day. So this should be cool!
