60s American Series Custom Shop Telecaster body with an American Series Neck with American Deluxe Tuners and vintage string tree.
one of a kind neck plate. these were supposed to go on the back of the Duff McKeegan model but they were supposed to be blacked up, not chromed. they were accidently chromed then destroyed but not before i could get my hands on one. i scuffed it up with some scotch pad to give it a more vintage look, relic if you will... anyway, my boss has one in his office and i have one on this guitar. pretty neat.
the neck i made myself. i got it out of assembly and scraped the finish off the back. look at the bottom of the headstock to the bottom of the neck...the coloration difference is where i scraped the finish off to get bare wood. i sanded the bare wood with a series of 3 different grit sand paper then rubbed in some dirt/grime/grease that a masterbuilder near by had for relic-ing guitars to give it a moderately dirty look. then i put on a sealer/protectant to the back and its fucking smooth as silk. its ridiculous...its like nothing i've ever owned, not even close.
the bridge is off a limited edition custom shop release of the
Andy Summers signature model. i'm not sure how many were made but it was less than 1000, i believe., anyway...i got a bridge from one of them and its insane. the acoustics and sustain are just off the charts. unchromed brass...so good.
the pickups are:
neck - 60s vintage style tele neck pickup
bridge - Seymour Duncan Hotrails tele bridge pickup
these may change...until i spend some time with a blues deville i really dont know what to do. i could even reroute the neck pickup slot to be fitted with a humbucker. options are limitless so i just need to mess around a bit.
and yeah, an american series vintage case.
it looks great next to my
Guild D50 Bluegrass Special next step...obtaining an amp. Fender Blues Deville...yeah, that sounds good.
