is fucked still. my tonsils, though painless, are swollen constantly. sometimes worse than others. its causing sleep apnea and other shitty issues. difficulty swallowing (shut up), sleeping...i'm up several times a night do to the sleep apnea, just shitty stuff. i went to urgent care and was given a prescription for prednisone. i never got it filled. i dont like the idea of going on steroids just yet.
i have an appointment on Tuesday with the Ear Nose and Throat Specialist for a surgical consult. i really do hope and pray that i do not have to have my tonsils removed as an adult.
"80% of the people who get them removed in their 20's would suggest you just suffering for the rest of your life over the misery they had to endure for the 2-3 weeks after their surgeries
doctor's really don't recommend this surgery to people over a certain age for a reason
*i've had constant issues with my tonsils / allergies my entire live and have almost begged my doctor to take mine out and she still refuses to allow me to do so*"
"it wasn't a pleasant experience at all, which is true for most people over the age of like 15
good luck
you'll be lying in bed for like 2 weeks wishing for death
oh and be prepared to take midnight trips to the hospital for high fevers and other things"
just a few bits of feedback i've received.
here's some more good times i've researched.
fuck the internet and it's overwhelming amount of nerve racking information.
