"Hey, how do you do the pumpkin ... thing?"
"Well, we only need a small amount, so just cut it here, peel off the skin, chop it here..."
"...and run it through the thingy?"
"...through the blender, yeah. Then get out the bread tray. You know, the bread tray?"

"Yeah. Put all the veges in that, then drizzle over some olive oil, and sprinkle some garlic and ginger, then mix it up with your hands. Put it in the oven on the middle shelf."
*glazed look* "...ah."
"It's not as difficult as it sounds, it's really simple."

"That's just normal for you."
