Random Checkup
Yes, We're still alive. Granted Le Beau has been posting more than I lately. Let's recap what's going on.
1) Still living down here in Gulf Shores. It's beautiful, fun, and there's always something to do.
2) Have a scuba thing going next weekend called Vortoberfest. Beer, diving and buddies, it will give us a chance to meet some of the local divers. Local being relative as many people are coming from Florida as well as lower Alabama.
3) House is still too small, but Le Beau says I can start looking for a permanent house in Jan. Not sure if I want to live closer to Mobile or Pensacola. If it's up to just me, it will probably be Pensacola, as I really like Florida even if they are very strict on speeding.
4) Seems like alot of changes are going on with my friends in Atlanta, and though I'm not there with you...my heart always will be. If you need to talk, vent....or even escape....You know you can always find us down here at the beach....and we know all the prime locations *wink*
In truth, I miss alot of my friends, and I've never been one of those people who throws out my friendship and hopes it stick. Nor do I like hanging out with people who give they jibe they don't like you. I've been blessed lately though, as it seems some of the people down here have figured out that I'm quiet til you get to know me. Alcohol always does seem to let me let the guard down. So in a very round about way, I'm happy that I'm starting to make friends down here. Now off to call our buddy Bill to see if he's hinting for some dive buddies this weekend. =)
Oh if as for the dive update...I've still not gotten around to getting rescue diver. But hoping to do that by Nov. Then I can start working on my divemaster. Now if you wondering why that's such a big deal for me. It's the first major step to instructor. Which is something I desperately want. =)
