Tonight

So tonight Le Beau and I begin our Advanced Open Water Dive Course. It will consist of one night of classwork and 2 days of diving. Tomorrow we are on the early morning boat that will either be going to Atlantis or the Navy Tug boat. The following day we will be doing beach dives to finish out the course.

What Advanced does is it allows us to be able to dive just about anywhere. It certifies us to go to at 100 feet down. Open water just allows you to go to 60 feet. But most sites usually go to about 80 feet. Atlantis, which is one of the dive sites, is 3 concrete pilons that they tried to make an artificial reef with. Sadly, one they dropped the first one it didn't fall correctly. The reason it is called Atlantis is because it looks like roman numerals down there. The bottom of this site is 77-80 feet deep. When Le Beau and I went the first time, we were only allowed to swim around about the top because that is what our cert qualified us for...now when we finish this class...we can go all the way down. Now I have never been to the Navy Tug, but I'm sure that it will be a new adventure.

So hopefully by the end of this weekend, we will be able to dive whereever we like. Beau is even wanting us to dive up in Vancouver when we go to visit Brenda. Course we all need to go see the whales while were up there as well hehe.

So wish me luck, and keep your fingers crossed. Though it sounds all easy and straight forward, alot of people have issues with going that deep...100 feet down is a pretty deep ways and it's easy to get turned around is what my instructor is warning us about. But we are syked to do it...it's going to be wonderful, and it allows me to go deeper when I finally take my photography course.

*hugs and love to everyone* As my love says, here's to flying while a 100 feet down.

(and I can't wait to try out my new fins....muhahaha).
