After a long silence, the EBC has a great victory to report, on behalf of its ally, Poland. We here in the Republic cannot fully express our admiration for the courageous acts and unbelievable strategic successes achieved in this short, but vicious Italo-Polish conflict. Our words do little justice to the struggle, and so these few images must suffice.
First, the Polish call to arms:
Having mobilized its armed forces and prepared for the coming conflict, veteran Republican advisors were called in the make a few last minute adjustments:
Nervous but well-trained Polish paratroopers geared up for the big day:
All necessary preparations taken, the Polish offensive kicked off with a joint air-sea invasion:
Hopeful Republican observers watched aboard gunboats from a safe distance, honoring strict agreements of neutrality:
Though the initial attacks were successful, Polish commanders - in unfamiliar terrain and combatting a tricky foe - chose to dig in, consolidate, and await developments from the enemy.
Unfortunately, Polish public opinion at home began to waver, and so the Polish commanders decided to seize an opportunity, culminating in an heroic cavalry charge worthy of any artist's canvas, resulting in a complete victory and speedy armistice:
We here at the EBC applaud our allies and their courageous triumph, wishing them much luck and continued success in the future. Signing off, "It's the E, E, EBC - Eddie Broadcasting Corporation"
