Oi, what a day
This has been a staggeringly busy day.
I ran all over town taking care of little last-minute things before my trip to war.
I mowed my lawn in the wretched heat - war practice, I suppose...
My car has had its little engine valve problem fixed.
My article has been sent off, hopefully to be included in a collection of essays on Soviet rock music.
I've built the lounge-o-matic 4000 camp chair/ futon hybrid... perhaps not a final version, but it'll be a lovely seating option for war this year.
I'm almost done with packing and loading. I've a few more tubs to put into the car tomorrow am, and a last check to run, but I'm basically ready.
I'm going to head to bed early tonight, and be on the road at 8 or so, putting me in there with a couple of hours of light left to set up camp.
Now, to print out directions, get the addy for my gps just in case, and make a few cds for the road. Also, I may make a simple walking stick...
