My geek powers are fading and I fear only a 24 hour comic book and dvd fest will cure me

The setting: my house. The game: Lord of The Rings Trivial Pursuit. The victor: Patrick.

Patrick came over last night for the second game in our extreme board game challenge. (We played Monopoly last week. Patrick, again, dominated.) My new roommates, Emily and Ainsley, were intrigued by the idea of LoTR Trivia and decided to join in the massacre. I had been talking trash about it for the past two days, trying to intimidate Patrick. Somehow, that didn't work. It started off clean enough, Brian rolled first, answered a few questions then his turn was over. BUT THEN, it was Patrick's turn. He must have answered AT LEAST 15 questions correctly just in that first turn. And that, ladies and gentleman, set the tone for the entire game. It was very short. It would have been even shorter had Patrick's turns not been so freaking long. At least, for all my trash talking, I didn't come in last. I came in slightly above Emily and Ainsley who had seen the movies once like two years ago and were working as a team. Ainsley and I decided that if it were Buffy the Vampire Slayer Trivial Pursuit, we would have kicked ass. Thats right, she loves Buffy....yessssssssssss. :-) So I need suggestions on what game we can play next time, I'm going to keep playing stupid board games until I beat Patrick at something.

After the game we watched The Princess Bride, so I was a winner in the end. :-)

Marlena,
When you get back we should go to Six Flags, or, at the very least, Canobie Lake.
