Twas two days after Christmas, and Sirius was in Heaven. Most of the school had gone home for the holidays, off to see their families. He had chosen to stay at school, despite his mother's many Howlers on the subject. Remus had done the same.
Which meant one thing, something that would only be possible during winter break, something he was enjoying to a ridiculous degree:
He had Remus.
All.
To.
Himself.
No adult supervision, no one else staying their dorm, and relatively few people in the castle meant they had plenty of privacy to spend time with each other however they wanted, without fear of being caught. And by God, it was glorious.
He had just snuck down to the kitchens to grab some Butterbeer for himself and Moony (the elves were so used to him sneaking food from him that they saved Butterbeer for his regular visits...they were such good elves). Earlier that day, however, he had snuck the second half of Remus' Christmas gift under his pillow. Walking into the Gryffindor dormitories, he wondered if Remus had found them yet.
"I'm back, oh wonderous, wonderful Moony," he declared as he walked in, bottles clinking.
