(no subject)
1. I am SO TIRED. For no reason! I got up about an hour ago, started a load of laundry, and filled the bird feeder. Now I feel like I need a nap. I'm supposed to go visit with friend!Amy and the boys this afternoon, and then meet Ronnie and Kristina and Larkin at the Y to swim for a bit, but just the IDEA of putting on real people clothes and leaving the house is EXHAUSTING. Ugh.
2. wendy mentioned the show Kingdom last week on LJ and so I had to check it out. I live under a rock sometimes, so I'm sure I'm the last person to know about this show, but I really liked it and wanna know who else is watching?
3. My Hurricanes beat the Stars last night!
4. My Hokie Hockey boys played twice this weekend. One game was horrible and they lost miserably and Daley got hurt (I talked to him afterward and he said he was fine, and he played great the next night so obviously he wasn't actually hurt, but I thought the kids were going to go after the other team because Daley is their favorite) but the next night they were AMAZING.
5. Davey got to wrestle last night at his match (he didn't get to wrestle at the first match; I don't remember who I tell things to) and he didn't win but he also didn't get pinned. I mean, the score was horrible, like 12 to 2 or something, but he lasted all three minutes, which counts for something. Two of his friends were giving him a hard time about the score, but one of them was pinned in 12 seconds and the other in 27, so boo on them. Those two are the ones with moms who don't want to come to the matches b/c it's too stressful for them, and last night the issue was that the other team had - god forbid - GIRLS on the team, and they didn't want their sons touching girls to wrestle! Also, there is a benefit social on Friday afternoon to raise money for one of the teachers who was diagnosed with cancer, and they don't want to let their boys go because they just don't know what kind of trouble they're going to get up to! Other parents are so weird.
6. Bela took two steps on her own without her walker the other day in therapy and that is AWESOME.
7. Chloe and I made bracelets from plastic knives the other day, and they actually worked, so I have to get us some other colors of sharpy markers and we're going to make some Christmassy ones.
8. I stumbled upon this tumblr post last week - 50 Sterek Recs over 50K - so I've been working my way through some of them that I haven't read yet.
9. I also read and enjoyed torakowalski's On The Other Side of a Downward Spiral and nerdwegian's Tell Me Anything, if Avengers are more your thing.
10. I haven't really read anything hockey-ish, but asimplechord and junebug_waltz have been keeping me pretty entertained via email.
