It struck me today just how bad an influence the Shelley's have been on my riding life. Let me prove it:
First: I hated dressage, but they convinced me that it would help my jumping...now I jump what, 4 times a year?
Next I didn't want to go in a Mike clinic, now I have been in 5 or 6.
Third: I loved draft horses, now I ride their arab.
Fourth: I hated drills, now I am going to be in one with them.
Fifth: I never wanted to do a dressage test or be in a dressage show, now I am, somehow, voluntarily, going in one and maybe some this summer.
And the final one, I have found myself willingly considering owning an arab.
See what did I tell you they are a terrible influence on me...wait did I say terrible...I meant I wouldn't trade them or anything they have converted me to for the world.
