I know I've griped in the past about my current job, but my co-worker Joe who's been around the block kept telling me that it could be worse. I really didn't understand what he was talking about given that this is my first real job but I did somewhat of an insight this past month when Bank of America screwed up my account.

One of the things I complain about is how "the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand." In a large company things are bound to happen. I'd say 70 percent of the problems that I had so far came from someone somewhere dropping the ball. It was from Processing, or Sales, ... or even my "Superiors." But all of all of the f*$k ups I've come across didn't compare to this.

After December I decided to open a Savings Account. So rather than doing it myself online I called a representative and had her do it. The account opened fine three days later but was missing the $100 that I told her to transfer (this has yet to take place.) So I deposited $500 myself. The next day it showed up but the day after that it disappeared. Even though we're not supposed to make personal calls at work since it'll affect our "stats" I called right away to get it straightened out. I got an old dude that didn't know the hell he was doing. "I need to transfer you to 'online services'" he said. After waiting 10 mins I told him "look I'm going to call back later what is the direct number for online services. Come to find out that jackass gave me the direct line to California online services. So the next three times I called I would have to wait the 14 minutes for a California rep to transfer me to Florida's line and wait anothe 2-4 mins. The next two calls after the old guy I got two reps who told me what I wanted to hear to appease me "it'll be there tommorow." Tommorow never came. I had do something I never thought I would do and that is request to speak to a supervisor. I literally said "I work in customer service ...I thought I'd never say this but need to speak to a supervisor." The first guy I told that to hung up on me. After I finally got through to one she couldn't even track of the guy that gave me the wrong California number. Aarrgh. And this is the company that I trust with my money?
