The only thing that's changed between King and his partner is maybe the fact that he's become more attached to her now that they've been sucked into another world/dimension/place...thing. While he would have been fine on his own having her there is very reassuring and comforting for him. He's always felt at home with Whistler, and now that she's the only thing he knows from their own world, it's even more so.

What Hannibal only assessed as a kid from first meeting him with a rough run-in with Church, he's learned that this is no kid, but some other fighter from another dimension. Whom is actually over a hundred years. He gives him props for what he's heard about his fighting in his world (and for tolerating Church) and has offered to help in teaching those defense who need it.

Some sort of military guy who likes to harass caravan travelers for ammunition. And knives. All in all he's fairly amusing to talk to although perhaps a bit extreme.
