I think I've finally figured out how my tablet works. That said, my first efforts are still kinda scribbly-looking...see below. At the very least, I can finally use layers. Boo yeah.
As you can see, I took a shot at drawing Harley Quinn as she might have appeared in the Nolan films. Ledger's Joker deserves a Harley to torment and abuse, I think.
...Heath Ledger is fiendishly difficult to draw. Fun, but difficult.
In other news, finished Wuthering Heights and the Great Gatsby.
Wuthering Heights: I'm afraid that Jane Eyre still wins in terms of "greatest love story". It was pretty, uh, brutal and intense, which is, I guess, what makes it a one-of-a-kind Victorian novel. Wanted to slap Cathy - and then she died. And Heathcliff? I'm finding it hard to empathize with an abusive puppy-strangler. (Mass-murdering clowns = whole different story. Shut up.)
Great Gatsby: I loved the writing to pieces - I'm still thinking about the story. But, God, the man's a poet.
And now I'm on to Tess of the D'Urbervilles...
