Is There Thriving Civilization After Photoshop?

It's just occurred to me:

Once upon a time...
there was no advertising.

There was no marketing executives...

Perhaps I'm romanticizing a past I never lived in;
but a culture that wasn't strewn with marketing fodder...

It just seems like it would be much less vapid.

This inspires me to wonder:

Can we ever go back?

Is there thriving civilization after photoshop?
