Bought camera weights for my dive camera today. Strike two for Leisure Pro. I called in advance to make sure they had the weights in stock. The representative claimed they did. When I arrived, there were none to be had, but the rep suggested I check with
Adorama downstairs. I bought the last one Adorama had.
The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent with my acquaintance, Kevin. He drove me to the Hudson River Park where we chatted about law enforcement, growing up Catholic, and our beliefs on religion. Afterwards we went to
Dinosaur BBQ in Harlem. The Swag Drunken Spicy Shrimp Boil Plate was tasty and did not resemble Red Lobster shrimp (aka minuscule). The Drunken BBQ chicken wings were grilled and probably some of the best wings I've had in a good long time. That may not sound impressive given DC's awful wing selection, but these were truly jumbo and tasty. Beerwise, we had the Blue Moon, Sam's Winterfest, a Stella Artois, and something else wrapping up the night cap with a very smooth shot of Jameson's whiskey. My Jameson's cherry is now officially popped. I made my way back to Queens and picked up a liter of water at 18th Street station. Fortunately, I didn't need to wait for the bus.
I must say that Kevin is a saint for putting up with me being on the work cell for much of our time together.
One observation is that NY AT&T cellular signal strength is awful. I may have full 3G signal, but web browsing and the App store are near unusable without a wifi connection. Shame on you AT&T.
