We got the house!
Well this is officially the first post from the new house. The phone line was turned on today. If anyone would like my contact info please email or im me and i'll give it to you, I just prefer not to post it publicly. I would love for anyone who wants to come visit, I'd love to show the place off even if right now its mostly empty.
I would like to thank dialated eyes (I'll change it to a link later) for all her help. Infact I would like to thank her a hundred times over because without her help I'd still be sleeping on the floor, sitting on the floor, etc. I would also like to thank her mom and grandfather for loaning us a van and driving it.
By the way does anyone have a van that can hold a 96inch couch? My grandfather offered us his 'old' couch, but I learned today that we are NOT ALLOWED to move it out on the weekend, because it detracts from property values or something like that. This free couch I think is going to end up costing us an arm and a leg in the end.
The house is wonderful, its bigger then I remember it being in most respects. Its a 3 bedroom bungalow, about 1300 square feet of living space. The kitchen has been recently remodeled, and there is an extensive deck a portion of which is screened in. There is a den with a wood burning fireplace. It also has a partially finished basement. There are a ton of little things we need to do around the house. I think its going to take atleast a year before we get it exactly like we want it.
We adopted two little kitties, named arwyn and strider (from lotr). Arwyn is gray, a little smaller and quite curious. Strider is orange with a white collar and can be quite vocal. I'll write more about them later and post a link to pictures.
