A couple days ago I went out with a girl named Shinano. She had made a mistaker when reading an e-mail on the cell phone and I had thought she meant 9 at night, at 9:10 in the morning I get an e-mail on my phone waking me up and she's apologizing for reading it wrong and that she meant morning. I understand though, she just began learning English so I wasn't mad or anything (I can't write in kanji yet, just speak a little Japanese). So, I get ready fast and hurry to Shiori train station to meet her where she had been waiting. So I quick get ready and hurry down there, I get there at about 9:30, 9:40-ish. Well, after that we go to Daiei Mall to the movie theatre to get our tickets. We're in line and we get our tickets and I start to pull out some yen and she tells me no and won't let me. Then we go to Bamiyan, she thought it would be cute because that is where I might her, a day before I left on the Juneau... 4 months ago! Once again, it's time to pay, I start to pull out yen and she shoves my hand back into my pocket. Then we go to the movie and saw, "Day After Tomorrow" and there was one point that I found hilarious and since I'm from the U.S. and everyone else was Japanese, only I found it amusing. it's a weird feeling to be the only person laughing in a full theatre. After that we went to the arcade and did the photo booths which are 10 times more advanced than american photo booths. After taking your picture, you go like Photoshop it and add decorations and write messages, it was fun. She also wouldn't let me pay the 400 yen or the ice cream at Baskin Robbins which was even less. After that she didn't have to make me walk 10 minutes to Shiori station and another 5 back to base so she called her friends and had them pick us up. Then the whole ride in the car she was showing me off to her friends and giggling and all the Japanese girl stuff. That's pretty much what I've done since being back. It was fun.
