I started my internship today. From my desk, I can see the northern part of Times Square (where the coke sign is, not where the ball drops from on new years. We are doing a million things in the office right now, so it is a little hectic, and I am the only intern right now. I started today by putting together the production binders for the three different versions of the Shamu show, for each of the Seaworld parks. (budgets, scripts, timelines, and lots of little things for each) I had to find the most recent versions of all of the files and put them all in order.
The rest of day was spent working on Spirit which is going into previews in Philly on May 18th and opens on May20th - the show was open last year, which is why the previews are only two days. At some point I get to go down to the show before it opens, which should be fun. I got to go through all of the online merchandise purchases to make sure that the bank is not screwing us.
It was definitely a long day, I work 10-6 which means that I have to catch a train at 8:16am and I don't get back to the station until almost 7:30pm, luckily I live only a few minutes from the train station. The only annoying thing is that I have to change trains on the way back.
