I voted... Did you?
I cast my absentee ballot last week. Some of the amendments were hard to understand.
I'm really getting into the UF basketball games. Last year, I didn't go to any, but I've been to the two exhibitions so far and I have tickets to the next two home games. They're fun and I like the songs and the random cheers the Rowdy Reptiles do, like the "Fantastic" one. Whenever the Gators do something good or when they cause the other team to give up a turnover, the announcer will say "Florida Basketball" and the fans respond with "FANTASTIC!" It's kinda corny but I like it!
At the last exhibition game last Sunday, the women's team was still playing and some of the men's team was hanging out in the bleachers waiting for the woman's game to end. Joakim Noah was out there with Corey Brewer, Walter Hodge, and Lee Humphrey. It was cute because parents would bring their little kids to get autographs and pictures. The players would have the little kids on their lap and joke around with them.
After a while, I finally mustered enough bravery to go and get a picture. Jason gave me his camera and I went down to where Lee Humphrey was sitting. I was BRIGHT RED and nervous and embarrassed and shaking. Lee is my favorite player and he's going to be famous one day. I asked if I could get a picture with him and he said "sure". I sat down next to him and he put his arm around me, I gave Jason's camera to some woman and she took the picture. I was so excited, but when I went back to Jason, he said that the woman changed the setting and instead of taking a photo, she took a video. That means that I'm not going to be able to print out a picture of Lee and I. By the time we figured that out, he went to the locker room to get changed for his game. I was really bummed.
So I went to the store the day after Halloween and bought a whole bunch of candy at half price. I may have gone a little overboard because I now have
- 5 bags of Nutrageous (It's my favorite candy and you can't really buy them during the rest of the year so I stock up around Halloween and eat them year-round.
- 1 bag of Snicker
- 2 bags of the little Reeese's PB cups
- 1 bag of Milk Duds
- 1 bag of Junior Mints
- 1 bag of 3 Musketeers
- 1 bag of Mr. Goodbar
- 1 bag of KitKat
