Ok, so I'm slowly working my way back into lj and fandom and such after being away for most of the summer. Catching up, all of that. And today was a little bit of Leverage and Kane, :D
So I watched...damn what was the title? Oh, The Studio Job! Yeah! Ok, so I got behind on Leverage cause it came on over the summer on Sundays, and my physics tests/quizzes were always on mondays, so come sunday I was studying my ass off and half the time I forgot to set my recorder, and I can't stand to watch stuff I love out of order, lol
Anyway, it was pretty epic. Loved seeing Alona on there(and John Schnieder(sp? lol) too, haha). I need to watch it again to be sure of some stuff, but I loved that Hardison said Nate knew Eliot could sing, and then Nate seemed all proud when he was perfectly on pitch and...gah the shipper in me was going crazy, haha Also, though, I loved Eliot and...dammit I just forgot her name. Another reason I need to watch it again, lol But, I loved them although shipping them...I don't know, Eliot in country music blurs the lines between Eliot and Chris a little too much for me...does that even make sense? I don't know. I mean, it was cool to see him sing for one episode, but I like to keep Eliot as a character separate from Chris, and that would be harder to do if he was singing more frequently, lol
I loved that new song though! Fantastic. Thought it was a cool job in general, too. (Oh, and it wasn't from this episode, the one before, but I love that it seems like Hardison and Parker might finally be heading somewhere, ^^ I adore those two...)
Video for House Rules...I mean, of course it's epic, and I totally love the fact that it happened and that Timothy Hutton directed it. And God do I love the fact that Steve was in it, the hug, being onstage with Chris...I didn't expect that, I totally squealed like a little girl, it was awesome, haha ...but, I'm not too fond of the fact that he took out the "get high" part and changed it to "get by". ...I mean, really Chris? Don't get me wrong, I totally understand that he did it to be CMT appropriate, and I understand that he's gotta be thrilled to finally be getting a video on CMT, and damn does he deserve it. But I wish he wouldn't change to do it. I can't help it, that's...I mean, I could never say anything against Chris, I love him too much, but it just...it disappointed me, that's all. I mean though, me, my favorite musicians are My Chemical Romance, and they're fucking fearless. They are who they are, and people can choose to accept them or not. It's like Green Day refusing to make a clean version of their album just so it could be sold at Wal-Mart. (Now, I could be uncomfortable about this prematurely...I have the EP and I know it's not edited there, and maybe when the CD eventually comes out, it'll be with the original version and this new version is just for TV and radio? Hope so, that'd be perfect, ^^). Anyway, I mean, that was a tiny, tiny "awww, Chris..." moment...the video was epic, and overall, I'm so excited!
