Sometimes major things change in my life but I don't get around to posting them. Particularly in the last year since I've barely been on LJ. So I realise that the fact that I'm married will be news to some of you. What will be news to even more of you is that I've been legally married for almost a year. That sounds an awful lot like mensesversary, which also happens monthly, but usually isn't celebrated unless the condom broke.

some people still refer to travis as my boyfreind. "how's your boyfriend?" mostly people at work. ::Shakes head:: no matter how many times i tell them husband, they don't get it. i've been married 5 years now, and still think of trav's mom when anyone say's mrs k---.

We're thinking of our marriage ceremony as a commitment ceremony to each other and keeping it separate from the legal ceremony because of what you're saying - the government's piece of paper isn't what makes a relationship "real."

It's annoying that other people consider it to be more "real," though.

So when is your real anniversary?
