Things I never thought I'd be posting

Back in November I was thinking of dieting again. So I was wandering around seeing if there were any good email support groups for the diet I was considering (there weren't) and found a reference to FlyLady. For those of you who don't know and don't want to click on the link, Flylady is a person who tries to help people get into the habit of ( Read more... )

i am a clean sweep addict as well. in fact, yesterday's episode (a repeat) had me going "yeah! why *do* i need to keep negatives from 10 years ago when i can just scan the picture?". i then proceeded to cut the bulk of my photo collection in half, while not getting rid of any actual pictures ( ... )

I don't suppose that you, bitogoth, ever lived in the Bloomfield, NJ area? I don't know if your name is a literary reference, but I have attempted (and failed) to go graveyard shopping with someone whose AIM name is bitogoth…

i did, and i still do. and since i appear to be tigger-like in that i seem to be the only one, (the only bitogoth online anyway) then it was undoubtedly me. :}

"bitogoth" is literary only in that it is a contraction of "bit o' goth", a fairly apt description.

so now i am racking my cranium- how long ago was this? some time i think...

We met at a maypole in, um, 2000. Everyone was highly amused that we got along so well because we talked and talked and talked and talked and talked. My boyfriend, D, introduced us before he moved to Tucson, AZ to pursue a graduate degree in mathematics. I was a student at MSU for one more year. We did a lot of, "We've GOT to get together," back and forth, but we only managed it once. We made plans to take a walk in the cemetary, but it downpoured so we ended up going somewhere for dinner instead.

If I see you on AOL, I'll beep you there with my real name.

An acting teacher of mine made my entire monologue class join FlyLady, because she thought the decluttering principles were so helpful.

It seems great, though I rarely get around to doing most of the stuff they talk about. I get fifty gazillion emails a day. Mostly though, I ignore them, so they clutter up my in-box. How's that for irony?

How was the FlyFest? You're much braver than I am for going.

The FlyFest was all right. A bunch of women wearing purple sitting in Grand Central station talking about their Control Journals. Since they were all New Yorkers it took the edge off of how strange it could have been.

Your ACTING teacher? That seems like a strange requirement. If the emails are cluttering up your inbox, maybe you should unsubscribe. You could always re-subscribe at some point later when you think you might actually read them.
