[Roland is sitting just inside the barrier where the snow meets the desert. The ground around him has been dyed red, but though he is covered in dirt and blood himself he doesn't appear to be all that injured - just exhausted. There's still a hungry look in his eyes despite his weariness, and the mark on his hand continues to glow.]
