Diabetes question

A ridiculously simple question: can anyone reading this inform me, or give a link to a site that will inform me, as to how one goes about injecting oneself with insulin?

The only guidance I've found, at my doctor's recommendation, is a professional program on diabetes management (a good thing) which, after dealing with deductibles and such from my insurance, would end up costing me over $300.00 (a bad thing).

I've got lots of information available telling me about eating habits, warning signs, lifestyle changes, etc., but nothing which tells me how to self-administer the insulin. The closest I've got is *one* site that vaguely indicates that one is supposed to "pinch an inch" at the waist and inject oneself there, changing injection points regularly to avoid soreness. This sounds right, but I'd like an experienced and/or more authoritative answer.

Advice?
