gearing up to buckle down

The party at our place seems to have been a success across the board, though our next one may start and end earlier because that was the one complaint the old man downstairs seemed to have. It shouldn't be much trouble to accomidate I think. It's weird to think that summer is over, and class (as well as rehearsal) starts up in earnest on tuesday. I have a feeling I'm gonna bury myself in my work, because that's what I tend to do when it all comes at once like this, and I wanna avoid drama like the fucking plague that it is, though I may already be too late. I need to do this, or I may be at risk to fall into a drama-laden pit from which I shall never return (it just looks like it could be that kind of semester, everyone seems to be at a strange place...). So, fuck that shit, I'm gonna concentrate on my craft and take the rest how it goes, hopefully I won't have to take too much.
