new outfits for after camp!
As most of you know, I was at camp last week. I didn't want to go, but i went and ended up having a great time! I got there on sunday at 9 am. we did our training and said our hellos and everything. There were a lot of non diabetic staff members, so i'm recruting some diabetics for next year. The campers came on monday around two. my girls were more than amazing. all of hemlock (the unit i was in) was amazing as well! I had 13 and 14 year old girls. i heart them!! they taught me a lot and showed me how mature they are in handling their diabetes. one of my campers lives in altoona, so we're planning to get together sometime during the school year.
the staff was amazing too! half of the counselors in hemlock were non diabetic, but they quickly caught on to how things work. they're the coolest girls! meaghan was also with me in the tent. i never really got to know here until this year, and i'm really glad i got to. i also got to see drew, melissa, jay and some other familiar people. everyone was so amazing!! i'm so glad i went this year! i'll probably most definately be back next year. i need to recruit more diabetic staff though. ;o)
