So I am making my way towards the beach to catch the fireworks, when the folks suggestion going to go see if the impression of the Madonna is still standing strong. Figuring it would be a way to kill ten minutes, I agree.(hey you never know, something apocalyptic could ensue and I’d have a swift cut in line forthe pearly gates).
We drive up slowly, and notice it’s become a place of complete worship. People seem to keep to themselves (no heckling or people trying to preach), so I proceed to snap off a few pictures. What I noticed is that the place, albeit it’s off state road (19), is a very calming place to be.
Personally, I lost my battle with religion a while back; perhaps I'll pick up with it when I find that a formal mental structure is best for my own sanity, but until then, I’d like to just hear comments about what people think about the impression in general. I’m not hear to start some religious feud; in a way I find that it’s inevitable when it comes to religion because far too many people get off on their own righteousness (that goes for both sides). So yeah….just general comments. …like if you’ve ever visited…what you might think it is…etc…
