About Adrian
Adrian Ivashkov is from Vampire Academy, the highly addictive Richelle Mead books half the game seems to be reading now. Since not all of you are even though you should be, I should explain him. Adrian is a Moroi royal which means he is a vampire, and the royal part helps mean he is a spoiled rich party boy. He's always well-dressed and is very used to being able to throw money at something to solve a problem. Like most Moroi, he's tall and thin and pale, and he tends to smile without showing his fangs. Which means he smirks all the time. He finds a lot to smirk about so that works out. He's not from the same timeline as Rose and Dimitri, but is coming in as an 18-year-old new graduate who's just taking time off for a while.
Adrian's a pretty easygoing guy. This might be mostly because he's almost always at least on his way to drunk. Where most Moroi specialize their magic in the elements of fire, water, earth and air, Adrian is a spirit user. The point in canon from which he's coming means he won't know why he can do things. Just that he can do them. There's also the fact that spirit takes a lot out of you to the point where other users have eventually gone completely nuts and it gets worse the more you use it. Some of what Adrian can do can't be turned off, so he dulls the effects and numbs the connection to his magic through good old-fashioned self-medication. He chain smokes, almost always smells of clove cigarettes and alcohol and unless stated otherwise in a ping/post, it's safe to assume he's already had at least one drink. It does mostly keep the crazy at bay. He's not dangerous at all but every once in a while he'll say something that sounds really off or he'll start rambling, and that's a little bit of the crazy leaking out. If he's not indulging in some vice or another, he tends toward the moody.
Overall he's a pretty good guy. He should be charming and easy to like, and even if he says something out of line it's not malicious. He's a sarcastic little smartass but that's just him and he doesn't mean anything by it. He's got a short attention span and can switch topics randomly, and can be a little self-absorbed when he starts thinking things through. He has a bad reputation in the Moroi world due to the drinking and the fact that he's known to go through a lot of girls. And he's SUCH a hardcore flirt when he really likes someone. (I'm sorry, Rose. Adrian however isn't sorry at all.) He's just there, and he finds everything amusing. Maybe because he's a little drunk.

About VA Vampires
Moroi aren't like most of the vampires you may be used to, because they're good guys. No slaying! They have families. They're born instead of made. They're mortal and can die and get disease. They don't sparkle, either. They do have heightened senses, and they can go out in daylight. They're just super sensitive to it and keep night hours instead. Plus he needs to drink blood. No one has to worry about him going out looking for victims since Moroi feed on a volunteer basis. In fact people can get addicted to getting bitten due to something in Moroi saliva that makes the bite semi-orgasmic. I've lined up an alternative to having to suck everyone's blood but if there's anyone IG who'd want to volunteer, let me know and we'll talk. Adrian won't turn them down, unless they keep coming back all the time and then they'd have to have a Talk.
If you're keeping track, sunlight won't kill them, garlic probably tastes good on their food that they still eat despite the blood, religious artifacts should be right out considering St. Vlad's Moroi priest, and being set on fire, getting their heads chopped off and getting run through with a stake will do them in but that should work on anyone.
Moroi also get assigned guardians to protect them. I'm saying that since Fandom is a blank spot, he was allowed to come to Fandom without any. It's not like we ever see his in canon, so let me use that to my advantage!
About those powers...
All Moroi can use some elemental magic. Since Adrian's never shown using them in the books, he won't be using them at FH until I have some idea of what he can do. Instead he'll be focusing on spirit. All Moroi can use compulsion, which is much like a Jedi mind trick without the hand wave, but they're trained that using it is wrong. Adrian not only has no qualms about that, he's very good at it. It's a spirit thing, and one of the reasons he's well-liked and charismatic. He can use it in specific instances though mostly it seems to get him out of rough situations. I'll make it clear when he'd be doing this, but he won't be doing it without a reason and it's up to you whether or not it'll work.
Adrian can also read auras. He sees them around everyone, and can tell changes in a person as the colors shift, since auras are what I want to call the soul's mood ring. Most of the time he won't comment on it unless he finds something really interesting and then he's got a conversation starter on his hands. His own aura changes though there's always gold in it, as there always is with spirit users.
Then there's the dreamwalking. He can go into another person's dreams, setting them up and manipulating them so that he can talk to the person in their dream just like he could in real life. In canon he's had to use this a few times to try and find out where someone was, or get information about what's happening when they're nowhere close to him. This is something I really can't do without permission though I'd LOVE to do it IG sometime, so if anyone has an excuse for it, please let me know.
At least at first, he's not going to be very forthcoming about what he can do. He won't need to hide the vampire thing for long in this setting, but the powers will probably be another story. He doesn't know at this point why it happens or why he can do it, and thinks he's a freak who just never specialized. He may let some people know bits and pieces of information as he gets to know them, and especially if they have a similar power to relate to, but a full on canon dump of everything won't be happening.
